How do I measure?
You can view our easy-to-follow measuring guides here.
How accurate do my measurements need to be?
We make all blinds and curtains to your measurements but understand that measuring can be a little daunting.
Our measuring guides advise you to measure in 3 different places across the width, for example, and use the smallest measurement when ordering.
Always use a steel tape measure for the most accurate reading. We’d recommend the use of a top reader tape if you have one or want to invest in one. We sell the Gator Tape here.
How do I fit my blinds/curtains?
You can view our easy-to-follow fitting guides here.
Do I Need A Special Pole For My Curtains?
You generally don’t need a special pole for our curtains—most of our curtain styles are designed to work with standard curtain poles and tracks. However, Wave Curtains are the exception; they require a wave track with the correct spacing to create their signature smooth, flowing look. If you're choosing Wave Curtains, we’ll help ensure you have the right track for proper installation and the best finish.
Are Curtains Good For Blackout?
We offer a blackout lining option for all of our curtain types. Our blackout curtains offer a perfect blend of style and functionality, making them an ideal choice for any room. Designed with thermal properties, they provide improved insulation and help regulate indoor temperatures—keeping your space warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Their excellent light-blocking capabilities create a darker environment that’s perfect for better sleep, increased comfort, or daytime privacy. In addition to enhancing comfort, they offer increased privacy and come in a range of stylish designs to complement any interior décor.
How do I clean my curtains?
All made-to-measure curtains should be professionally dry cleaned to maintain their quality and finish. Each curtain includes a care label sewn into the side hem for reference. To keep them looking fresh between cleans, use the upholstery brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner to gently remove dust and maintain brightness.
How do I dress my curtains for the perfect folds?
For the best drape and a professional finish, we recommend dressing your curtains after installation using information below: If you have access to a steamer, lightly steam out any creases from top to bottom, taking care not to over-steam or let the fabric become damp. Alternatively, an iron on a gentle steam setting can achieve the same effect. Pull the curtains into position, ensuring the spaces between pleats are even, and smooth each pleat gently by hand so the fabric falls naturally. Make sure to not touch the face fabric directly. Once the pleats are shaped, secure the curtains in place using fabric strips or tiebacks. Leave the curtains tied for at least 48 hours to help the pleats set beautifully. This simple step ensures your curtains hang perfectly and retain their elegant drape over time.
What are the different finish options for Roman Blinds?
Roman blinds come with two stacking style options. Stacked creates a clean, uniform look, with all folds sitting neatly on the same level when open. Cascade offers a stepped finish, with folds 10–25mm apart(depending on the blind’s drop), adding a decorative touch but taking up slightly more window space.
What are Sheer Roman Blinds?
Sheer Roman blinds offer the same elegant structure as standard Roman blinds but with a softer, lighter appearance. Made from translucent fabrics, they gently diffuse daylight while maintaining a sense of privacy and openness. The construction remains consistent with standard Roman blinds, with the exception of the hem size, which is adjusted to suit the lighter fabric. The table below outlines thespecific hem size used for sheer Roman blinds.
How do I clean Roman Blinds?
All made-to-measure Roman blinds should be professionally dry cleaned to preserve their quality, texture, and colour. Each blind includes a care label attached to the lining for easy reference. To keep your blinds looking fresh between cleans, use a vacuum cleaner with an upholstery brush attachment to gently remove dust and maintain a crisp appearance.
How do I dress Roman Blinds?
Roman blinds require minimal dressing After installation, simply lower the blind fully and use a handheld steamer to delicately remove any creases, working from top to bottom. Take care not to over- steam or let the fabric become damp. Avoid touching the face fabric directly to prevent marks or water spots. Once steamed, allow the blind to hang freely for several hours so the folds can settle naturally. This gentle process helps your Roman blind achieve its smooth, tailored look and ensures it hangs beautifully in your window.
